A milestone for the advertising Industry in Bangladesh. Two young professionals, Maisha Binte Siddiq (Strategic Planning & Servicing Executive) and Farah Yasmin (Senior Visualizer), from Grey Bangladesh, won the first ever Gold for Bangladesh at Young Spikes 2017 under the category of Integrated Campaign. Earlier this year, the same team won “Young Lions Competitions Bangladesh” under this category, organized by The Daily Star and Bangladesh Brand Forum, in association with Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity” which qualified them as the best representation among Bangladeshi agencies to compete in young spikes festival.
Young Spikes Competitions are aimed at creatives who are aged 30 or under and employed in advertising/communications businesses, and provide Asia Pacific’s next generation of creative minds the opportunity to showcase their ability. It is being organized since 2009 and has been nurturing the creative minds since then. The Grey team, proudly representing Bangladesh, contested against 14 other advertising agencies from renowned organizations such as Cheil Worldwide, Geometry Global, Leo Burnett, McCann, PHD Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi etc. from Australia, China, India, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, and more. The participants created an integrated campaign in response to an actual brief set by a non-profit organization. This year’s brief was from Habitat for Humanity, an NGO, which builds decent homes for underprivileged people. Grey designed an integrated campaign that will be launched internationally by Habitat for Humanity in 2018. Grey is extremely delighted and proud to be part of this substantial cause while representing Bangladesh.
